Anyway to prevent Norton from removing .PIFs?

Everytime I run Norton Systemworks, I have to recover some of my PIF
files. There is some older software that requires these files. These
were not retrieved from an email, they are legitimate files - e.g.,
PPO.PIF - but Norton insists on removing them.

Is there a way to prevent Norton from removing specific .PIF files?

I assume that you are referring to WinDoctor. You will have to
individually chose the correction options, "Advanced", right click on
the PIF which you do not want to be deleted and then click on "Ignore
Selected Problem".
