I have been using this mobo with RAID0 for awhile and an unhappy with
the scores I am getting. I know, I know, half the people will say I'm
nuts for using RAID0 because of the danger of losing data. I do
backups all the time and re-instll XP every couple of months with a
clean image, so if it was to go bye bye on me, I wouldn't be crushed.
Anyway, my HD score on PCMark02 are a dsimal 1121. I used to have a
Gigabyte 8PE667-U and the RAID0 HD scores on PCMark02 were 1618. Not a
heck of alot better, but better nonetheless. So my questions is does
anyone use the P4C800-D (ICH5, NOT ICH5R) with the Adaptec 1200A RAID
card? Their probably won't be that many people using this
configuration, so if anybody out there is using another RAID card,
would you please let me know how it is turning out for you? I'm taking
apart my mobo in a few days to clean out the dust bunnies and install
some new hardware, so I figured this would be as good a time as any to
install the Adaptec card. I already have it, so I'll probably do it
anyway, but I'd like to get some feedback from everybody first.
hThanks folks.
