Anyone seen this stop error: 0x00000050 (0xFFA012F0)

The complete Stop is 0x00000050 (0xFFA012F0, 0x00000000,
0x804B0BE0, 0x00000000)
I've scoured Microsoft & the web, and while I can find
plenty on general 0x50 errors, can't find a single thing
on this specific one.
Error appears at every boot, just after the Windows 2000
splash screen disappears.
Tried last known good, same error.
Tried to boot to safe mode, same error.
Swapped hard drives with a working machine, this drive
fails in known good machine, while known good drive works
fine in this shell.

Thanks in advance for any input!

What is the text of the message?

Was it PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA? That can come from defective memory,
including cache and video RAM, or incompatible software loading, although
Safe Mode tends to avoid the latter. But your drive swap should have avoided
defective memory, with the possible exception of drive cache, and I'm not
sure drive cache would cause this. How about Safe Mode with command prompt?
If that works, from the command line, issue "Explorer", which will load your
desktop. If that then gives you a stop error, I would suspect something
loading with your desktop.

Yup, it is the Page_Fault message. Memory has been ruled out, and the
error appears during startup, regardless of mode.
Thanks for the input.
