I'm using CrystalCPUID instead of cool'n'quiet. To change the voltage this
way the voltage has to be set to auto in the bios.
It can act like cool'n'quiet and change the speed and voltage on the fly,
except you pre-set what you want. May be unstable below half-speed (5x for a
10x cpu).
You can freeze each speed/voltage combo and test it well with prime95
torture testing.
My clock is at 240. So mostly my 10x Winchester is running 5x and 1.2 volts
, but when it's utilization hits 80% it goes to 7x and 1.4 volts, and if
that hits 80% it goes to 10x and 1.45 volts.
1.45v is as high as the software can set it, and 2.4g is as high as my cpu
will go at that voltage.
Anyhow, my pc pulls 114w idling and 150 during prime95.
