I have posted several times this - but no body has given a proper advise to
solve this issue - pls some body can help me. I appreciate your valuable time

Dear all,

One of my XP pro sp2 client pc keeps disconnect from the server or shared
resources, I have disabled the power management feature from device manager
to this device but still doing the same. I cannot suspect cable or other
server issue because from the same station we were using win2k without any
single issue. Needless to say all the drivers are MS certified...

I have checked my server, the auto disconnect feature was disabled. I don't
know what to do now, there is no disconnect icon (marked with red color)
shows on the cleint XPsp2. I have two shared
printer, when I clinck to check the status it says access denied, all I have
to do go network places, double click and log with administrator then the
printer status shows "ready".

pls help me
Regards
Anver

I can't help you I'm afraid but it would help if your subject line was
specific, thereby ensuring that those who can help are able to identify that
the subject is in their area of competence.

If only ONE of the client PCs is disconnecting and others are OK, do not look
at the server: look at another client: investigate every setting, Network
Cards, Power Management, whatever that could possibly be casuing this failure
and make sure that the faulty PC is configured the same.
