I keep getting an error message when I try to install the 1.9.m113
build. Am using Millennium Edition. Anybody else getting an error
message right at the beginning of installation? If you're using Windows,
what version are you using?

TIA

Yes. Internal Error 2735 Shellextensionsdll5. Trying to install on Windows
ME. Current updates. Install is OK on Windows XP Home.

That's exactly the same error I'm getting.
Later, found this error posted for SRC680_m112:
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=51377, claims to be fixed.

I filed a bug report too and got a message that my error was considered
to be the same as that one you found, so they deleted my report. I also
got an email that the error was fixed, but when I tried to install the
latest version of the beta this morning it failed again and for the same
reason. However, to be fair, they only release new versions of the beta
every two weeks so maybe the version with the fix isn't available as of yet.

Yeah, they say the problem is fixed in version 114 and 115, but they
haven't released them yet. I don't do cvs, so I guess I'll have to wait.
Right now I use StarOffice 5.1 on that computer, and it still works ok. Why?
It runs on Windows, Linux(Fedora Core 3), and OS/2 Warp 4.5 and is free.
Would run OpenOffice on OS/2, but it costs $39.95.

Because you have absolutely no idea what you're doing, as usual.

Let's see.... I:

1. Download the zip archived installation files
2. Unzip the files to a folder on my hard drive
3. Double click on the 'setup.exe' file

Gee, I'm overwhelmed.

I had a problem after installing it on XP Pro SP-2. Every time I opened it I
got an error, so I uninstalled it.

Well, that's a pretty serious problem. I guess we all just have to be
patient and wait for 2.0 final.

I've never been much of one for running betas, except in rare cases
where a program always seems to be in a beta stage. This experience with
OOo just reinforces my policy IMO.
