Any way to tweak Event Viewer?

Hey all,

Is there any way to find out if anyone has opened an application in my
computer at any time?

EventViewer basically logs application errors, startup and shutdown
times,service
rntime errors..

Can Event Viewer be used to log application usage? if not, is there any
other tool which does the same?

In XP Pro you can enable auditing of process tracking via Local Security
Policy but that is not available in XP Home. There are third party programs
that can track such activity. You also can manage permissions to folders [or
Software Restriction Policies in XP Pro] so that only authorized users can
open an application assuming that the users you want to block are not also
local administrators.
