Every 10-12 hrs or so the whole screen crashes. No BSOD, no error messages, no
nothing. Everything just FREEZES. I have been leaving it running overnight to
download on emule and usenet. I wake up to a frozen screen?! I tried prime95
but didnt show anything. However, is there a program that will stress/test my
ati gpu? Its an 850 pro and brand new. Never happened before this. I bought
the card for Christmas and only a few days ago have experienced this, as the
last 2 weeks have been fine. Games seem to run fine (far cry, rollercoaster
tycoon 3, half life 2), but I like to leave my puter on overnight to download.
How can it be overheating if its not DOING anything?! (yes, its virus free).

Thinking about migrating to nvidia if this persists. Still within 30 days to
exchange it for another card.

Specs:
K7N2 Delta nForce 2 based motherboard
350 watt power
Athlon 2600
768 ram
LG DVD Drive
Audigy 2

Freezes suggest a driver problem, rather than hardware.

Download the ati catalyst uninstaller, clean everything out. Remove any old
Nvidia drivers if your old card was nvidia, then install the latest ati
catalysts (6.1 came out today)
