Dear all,
Sorry to re-post again. But after I test all the program, like
keyfinder,
Belarc Advisor, aida32, none of them can read the product key of
office 2000.

Is that the Office 2000 cannot be read by all program? Or there
are some special programs or method I can used.

Thanks.

I think you'll find that Office 2000 is an exception to all the key
finder applications. I just pulled up Win2000/Office 2000 VPC
and verified that the tools won't retrieve the installation key.
Unless you can locate the jewel case with the orange sticker you
may be unable to get the key code.

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key: Note: O2K will be 9.0, if
I remember correctly.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Registration

For the selected {GUID} subkey, the ProductID string value will be listed in
the right pane.

Where is the activation info kept? I thought the activation information would
be provided at time of activiation for backup reasons. My Office 2003 just did
it and did not provide the information for printing.

IIRC the Activation system came in, experimentally, only late in the
life of Office 2000: you would find it in one bought up to say six
months before Office XP came out, but not earlier. You would probably
retrieve the key for these activated copies, but not earlier ones with
the old numeric install code
