Windows XP Product Activation.

I actually posted this on the wrong board, apparently - on the Windows Home
Server board. Anyways...

Okay, I have no idea how this happened, but my Windows has been unactivated.
And, I have misplaced my Windows product key... Well, I want to find out what
it is (of course)! Well, I used Registry Editor, RockXP, Belarc Advisor,
Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder, and ViewKeyXP. Here's the crazy thing: they all
have different product key numbers! And I checked to make sure it wasn't a
number for something else... Not only that, but can someone tell me how to go
to that activation again? Everything is working fine - I just want to
activate Windows again. I checked, but it isn't under Accessories --> System
Tools.

So can anyone tell me why none of the product key numbers worked (I
made sure that it was accurate...)? And/Or how this happened in the
first place?

I know for a fact that this is indeed a legit copy of Windows. It used to
have Windows Genuine Advantage, but now... since I don't know how to activate
it, I can't get it. Oh, I can't use the other two options because, well, my
parents don't want me using the telephone, and I feel insecure myself. And I
forgot the other option...but I'm sure it's something I can't use, or
something to that extent.

If anyone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, if anyone could help me out, that would be terrific, but if anyone
could answer this question, that'd really be more valuable: How do I go to
the Windows XP Product Activation? Again, it wasn't under Start
--> All Programs --> Accessories --> System Tools

How do you know this? Is there a specific error message you can
reference?
And, I have misplaced my Windows product key...

What kind of PC do you have? Doesn't it have a Certificate of
Authenticity sticker on it? It looks something like this:

Are you the original owner of the PC?

(We'll worry about Belarc, etc. later.)

I'd say you have a larger problem than not having the PK, especially if those
apps each report it differently.
Another thought, you said you misplaced the PK, how did you make sure it wasn't a
number for something else?
So can anyone tell me why none of the product key numbers worked (I

first place?

Again, how do you know the PK(s) are acurate if you don't know the PK?

Have your Parents phone MS to reactivate it then, I'm sure they won't mind if you
ask. If they're to busy, ask them what the other option is that you think you can't
use. Who knows, they just might really surprise you and "let you have the option".
If anyone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

If you don't have the PK you have to have your Parents call or "give you the other
option".
