Why on your desktop? - when they can be in the side bar and if you want you
can make that always visible
Otherwise just drag the gadgets off the Sidebar
Drag them off the Sidebar and onto the Desktop. You can then 'Close' the
Sidebar and it will minimize to an icon on the Notification Tray at the
lower right leaving the gadgets on the Desktop. Don't actually Exit the
Sidebar it will take the clock and news headlines along with it.
