Any news on a fix for SP4?

Does anyone know if the lot at Microsoft are going to
bother to fix SP4? I have a machine that now is crap and
(stupidly) I did not archive for uninstall. I really don't
fancy formatting and starting again. Help?
 
Hey you aren't the only one, our systems didn't have
enough disk space so rather than let us buy bigger drives
we just didn't archive. Lovely...
