Any hope for this ram?

I recently bought a 512MB PC3200 stick of ram from newegg, brand
Rosewill. I have a Shuttle AN35N Ultra running an XP 2200+, Win XP
Pro, and 3 sticks of 256mb memory before the purchase. When I drop the
512mb stick in and boot up I get:

AWARD BOOTBLOCK BIOS v1.0
BIOS ROM Checksum Error
Detecting floppy drive A media
insert system disk and press enter.

Replacing my original stick I can boot up fine. I flashed my bios and
tried the 512 stick again but had the same problem. I tried the 512
stick in another machine and it booted up fine.

Anyone have any ideas before I RMA this?

when you insert the new stick go into the bios and save and exit

does the message dissapear now?

on older ibm machines when you added ram you had to save the "new"
information in the bios

never heard of it on modern boards but its worth a try I suppose!

I have been in and saved with the new stick inserted but no luck.
Funny I read in the reviews on Newegg that someone had problems with
this memory on older boards due to the voltage requirements. But that
person specifcally stated he got it to run on my board.

I tried playing with the voltage settings and the timing as well but no
luck. I'll just RMA this one and try another.

Shuttles require decent quality branded RAM such as
Kingston/Corsair/Crucial. You'll get nothing but grief from cheap
generic.

Have you tried putting it in a different slot?
May sound crazy, but it has worked in the past for me.

All the same voltage? Have you tried just that stick alone?
