Any good workstation profile migration tools for clients moving to a new domain?

I'd like to create a new domain but keep their XP pofiles essentially the
same when they join and log into the new domain

Are there any good utilities or something I should be doing at the
workstation?

THanks

i have a good trick for this.
This is an easy way to transfer profiles without having to copy anything.
Takes a total of 1 minute to complete.

1) Make new domain user part of the local administrator group of the
workstation (important step that cannot be missed, this is not adding a new
user to the local workstation, it is adding the domain user to the local
administrator group, let me know if you need me to clarify)

2) Log in as new user, then log out (this creates dir’s and registry
keys for user)

3) Log in as administrator

4) Open Regedit – HKLM – Software – Microsoft – Windows NT – Current
Version – ProfileList

5) Go down the list of SID’s and in the right pane looking under
profile image path find the SID for your new user, usually something like
username.domainname , edit that profile image path and enter in the documents
and settings path for the old profile usually username.

6) give the domain user full rights to the local profile

7) Reboot the computer (this step is important and cannot be missed or
things get fubared)

8) Log in as new user, icon’s should be laid out the same, you
shouldn’t have to reconfigure any application like Office or J2E Messenger,
occasionally the background doesn’t show through immediately, if you got to
display properties and click apply it’ll come up.

NOTE: When doing this username on old domain matches username on new domain,
if that is not the case use this procedure at your own risk.
