antivirus problems

Hi all, i installed panda anti virus on my computer after
deciding i want to change it, i go to uninstall and it
says access denied for the file wat lies with system32
saying its protected or in use, i luk in the process's
task manager and it is in use however it wont let me close
how can i remove this totally?

Have you closed Panda down completely via the notification Area icon?

i just stopped it starting up and thats it how wud i do

Hi

Make sure that there is no reference to Panda in msconfig>startup, then
reboot your PC and try to uninstall it again.

Hi, try booting to safe mode then uninstall.....

That's the next option, yes, but Panda should be uninstallable from 'normal'
mode Windows.
