"How can I tell if I have it..."

Do you see it in your Start menu? Does it have a folder in \Program Files?

| I think I use Microsoft AntiSpyware. There are no icons on either my
| desktop or system tray. How can I tell if I have it and it is active?
|
| Thank you.

You have to install it first !

Note that this is a Beta software.

won't load on start of windows.

Microsoft AntiSpyware is designed to download, run and then delete itself.
To view the logfile it creates, you must enter a certain command in Start >
Run. Unfortunately, I can't remember that command, but surely someone else
here must.

That is incorrect with regard to Microsoft Antispyware.

What you have described is the monthly "Malicious software removal
tool" that is released via Windows Update.

Ron Martell Duncan B.C. Canada

Do you see it in your Start menu?

No.
Does it have a folder in \Program Files?

No.

Thank you.

You have to install it first !

To me, that is obvious.

And like you wrote, it is a beta. That's why I am sticking w/ Spybot
and Ad-Aware.

And from my POV that's a wise choice :-)

Thank you for correcting me, Ron. When the OP wrote he *thought* he had
Microsoft Antispyware, it occurred to me that he meant the antispyware
tool.

BTW, what is the command I mentioned? (for my own reference).
