i know it's still only a beta release, but why is it when
ever i run microsoft antispyware somthing tries to
install but cannot find the file it needs is this a bug
with mas or is something else on my system

I have same issue and just did a post on what I go
through every time i start this up.

You (both) are seeing an issue with the Windows Installer.

If the (something) that tries to install each time is something that you
have installed, wish to keep installed, and have the source media for, I
would recommend doing a repair installation of that product.

If it is asking about something that you don't recall ever installing or
needing, you can download the Windows installer cleanup app from Microsoft.

Use this application to remove the installer traces of whatever is named
when you try to run or install Microsoft Antispyware.

One of these two methods should resolve this for each of you.
