Anti virus

It doesn't look like this is a common problem. My anti virus program doesn't
work with Vista. Vista tells me there's one on their site and I found it (I
think) ... RC1 or something like that. I click on it ... and do all they
ask, but nothing happens.

Any suggestions on what to do to cover myself. I installed Vista 4 days ago
.... and am unprotected ... yikes!!!

Thanks.

Search the news groups here and you'll find a lot of anti-virus programs
that work. Some are free. Avast and NOD32 have betas that work on either
x86 or x64 versions of Vista. That's just to name the two I've used. There
are others, just search and ye shall find.

I use Avast! 4 Home Edition, FREE Download:

with RC2 b. 5744.

Thank you all.
Rick ... when I saw your post ... it gave me hope. I was getting the mesage
that AVG wasn't compatible with Vista, but your posting suggested otherwise,
so I reinstalled the lastest version and it installed and appears to be
working just fine. I sure wish the scans were faster, but at least it's
working ok.

Thanks.
Diana

I use AVG Free
