Yes

or the anti-virus clamwin?

It's very good at what it does, but I'm willing to bet it does not do what
you think. You don't want this one.

None of them are _this_ perfect. AntiVirus and AntiSpyware products can be
compared to putting on a seatbelt when you get in your car. It doesn't
matter how good your seatbelt is or how many airbags are in your car
alongside it, it's still never ever going to be a good idea to go around
colliding with other cars. Your first defence against road accidents are
"safe driving" techniques.

Same with security software: You avoid viruses and spyware by using "safe
computing" techniques. If you fail to avoid them then you hope your virus
scanner and spyware remover can soften the impact of the blow.

For free products, look at AVAST or AVP, if this is for home use.

For pay-for products, look at Nod32 (home) or F-Secure (corporate).

These are not "the best one, the one that would eliminate every virus or
spyware" because that product literally does not exist despite what some
people claim, but I've personally used every product I've mentioned above
and had good results with each one.

Sophos is Good, also Panda is good for paid Anti-virus, there are free AVs
like Avast, AVG very good, but you will not get both (Anti-virus and
anti-spyware) as you think, they are mainly Anti-virus so you will need two
applications one Anti-virus and the other Anti-spyware like Adaware, Spybot
S&D.
If you gone for the free anti-virus you will need a firewall which can be
ZoneAlarm or Keiro.

Are you sure that sophos anti-virus is good cause I put on google sophos
anti-virus and it says that this anti-virus does more damage than all the
virus all together, dud you think this is true?

I have no experience with either, so I won't comment.

Which anti-virus is the best one,

There is no *best* one. I personally like Avast, but other people have
different preferences.

the one that would eliminate evey virus

There is no such thing. Every anti-virus program catches something less than
100% of the viruses out there. And the small percentage of things that they
miss is different for each of them. So anti-virus program A will catch virus
X and miss virus Y, but anti-virus program B will catch virus Y and miss
virus X.

Over and above that, whatever they catch is what they know about today. The
list of viruses out there will be different tomorrow. An important part of
what makes an anti-virus program good is how frequently it updates its virus
definitions. Avast is very good at doing this often (at least once a
day--sometimes more often), and that's one of the reasons it's my choice

or spyware in your computer?

*No* anti-virus program protects you against spyware. You need antispyware
software to do that, and one such program isn't enough.

If you google long enough it will tell you that we landed on the moon and
that we also never landed on the moon. It will also tell you that Elvis is
both deader than, well, a dead thing and also that someone saw him in Burger
King last week.

In my personal experience, Sophos is good. It isn't perfect. As I explained
in the rest of my reply, no product is.
