Just an FYI:

Noticed today that Symantec has now got a "Live Chat" option for
support of their products. So along with CastleCops Forums, users
may have another "Free" option to get their Norton issues resolved.
However, finding the option on their website is like playing "Three
Card Monte", so I've included the direct link.

Thanks! I've added it to my notes. I wonder if the Symantec chatter will
just say "reinstall Windows" though! ;-)

I recently got this from a Microsoft support agent! Seems to me that all tech
support agent now follow the same script:

If the user gives you too much details on their problem, have them re-install
Windows. Then they will be having to set up their PC for the next few
weeks/months (Problem is solved/postponed!)

Better still, just have the chat/help page not work in the fist place.

I havn't tried Smantec "live chat", but I have tried others that said
they were "live chat". In reality, it wasn't chat, but a web based
"email/message" type system.

Nice try. I tried it due to a problem with Norton SystemWorks. I got some
guy in India that didn't even try to find the underlying issue and told me
that I had to re-activate me product. Hmmm This was a new install of the
Systemworks program I just purchased from Fry's.

No help there.

Remove Norton system works. Return it for a refund.
