The current version of Network Traffic Monitor (1.03) is now Shareware.

Bummer! I just discovered it awhile back.

As far as using it for security purposes, it does not report the BOINC
software I use in the seti@hime. project. The dialup icon in the lower
right task bar also does not indicate data transfers of this program.
As far as I can tell, the BOINC program itself is the only way to see
if data is being transferred. Strange.
