I've read very limited comments that we should turn off Norton's outgoing
and incoming email scanning settings when using WM because that kind of
protection is embedded in Vista. Do you agree? And is this also the case
with WLM?

For many versions of the Norton antivirus software, you need to uninstall
it,
not just disable part of it, to stop new problems from appearing in WM
occasionally. For many other antivirus programs, just leaving email
scanning
is enough, since the virus will be detected as soon as it spreads to
something
other than the email. Norton apparantly wants your money enough they
should not be trusted in telling you what to do. Here's part of what they
recommend, though:

WLM is more resistant to the problems.
