Another Longtime problem "ATTEMPT TO ACCESS INVALD ADDRESS"

Hello Everyone:
I don't know just when it happened actually because I don't use them all
the time. But now, whenever I try to use one of my older CDs (that I used to
use on my older Win98 SE) and that I think I used to use on WinXP Pro also.
They won't work now. Any older DOS based program like:
Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing V.9, American GreetingsCreataCard, Print Master
V.4, ClickArt 40,000 Broaderbund, The Print Shop Deluxe III, etc....
and all my newer CD's, CD-Rs, CD-RW's, DVD's, DVD-r/RWs they all work fine
on my WinXP Pro.
but when I try to do the older ones I get:
"ATTEMPT TO ACCESS INVALD ADDRESS"
Which isn't making any sense to me, because it's my CD-ROM Player/recorder,
and even if I do an "explore" and then copy the contents to the desktop, and
try to open it from there I still get "ATTEMPT TO ACCESS INVALD ADDRESS"

I did a search for help with this problem, and only found ONE thread about
it. If you want to read about others that have had this problem, and it's
explained better there as well, it's at:

Thank You for all your time patience, and understanding
