another contact question

Gary Metzler

Hi All,

I am using outlook 2003. When in my contact list at the bottom it shows
that I have 401 contacts. When I go up and down the list there doesn't seem
to be that many. Are these contacts hidden? How can I trim down the list?
Thanks for any help.

Hi Diane,

I have another question about contacts. Is there a way to sort the
contacts? It seems that my list of contacts is in a haphazard state. Any
help would be most appreciated. Thanks,

The status bar should say if a filter is enabled, but you can reset the view
or select a new one. Which view do you use on the folder?

Right click is an open area of the contact folder and choose reverse sort.

Hi Diane,

I will have to check on that. I didn't know you could have different views.
I have another question. When I go to tools and the address book I am given
a choice of outlook address book or contacts. the outlook address has no
entries in it. can I remove it safely from my profile without any ill
effects? Thanks,

No, don't remove it. The Address book is used when you click To. It contains
the Contacts that have electronic addresses.
