Annoying [*] symbol

Hi,

I'm using OE 2003 SP2 and Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages.

Every time I'm editing a forwarding message, and I press a Space, Word
inserts this symbol in that line: [*]

The same occurs when I writing a new message and I press an <enter>.

Any suggestion how to eliminate it?

Tools-> Options-> E-mail Options...-> Mark my comments with:

Unfortunately this option is grayed: it is not possible to check our uncheck
it.
Do you have please another suggestion?
Perhaps editing the register? But where?

You'll need to change your default message format to HTML in order to change
this option (tab Mail Format). Once changed you can change your default
message format back to Plain Text again
