Annoying problem with Explorer

C

CGB

When I open Explorer it goes to "folders" display which I want.
It highlights "My documents"
I then have to click on My Computer then "C:\"

No matter what I change in remember these settings, etc. I can't get it to
open with C drive highlighted and expanded. This is where I do 99% of my
directory searching and tired of all the extra clicks to get to C drive.

Any way to fix this??
Thanks
Chet

Change your shortcut to Windows Explorer to have this command line:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,C:

Frank,
Bingo!!! Many thanks. I wonder why that information wasn't available to me
just by browsing XP. Or, maybe it is but sure couldn't find it.
Thanks for the quick and accurate reply.
