Hi all,

i'm running Vista Home Premium and my CPU is periodically used by the
services LocalSystemNetworkRestricted and Dcomlaunch (svchost), having load
peaks up to 30% every 6 seconds more or less. This is really annoying since
they don't allow me write a text without interruptions. Can anybody help me
please?

Thanks a lot in advance. Best regards,

Why don't you use Process Explorer or some of the other Sysinternals tools
and go look?

With PE, you can go to View Menu Show lower pane and Show all DLL(s). It
will show you all processes running with a process in the lower pane, when
you click a process in the upper pane. You can right click a process in the
upper pane, go to Properties and get more information about who or what is
using something like Svchost.exe, as an example.

At 30% it shouldn't be interfering with you doing other tasks. You give no
information about your system specs, but if dual core you can change
affinity, and if single core, many svchost functions can be set to a lower
priority.
