Annoying change in order of file listing by date

In Win 98, when I explore My Computer and select the Detailed view and then
click the Date column to list files in descending order by date, the
sub-folders are listed first, followed by the most recent files.

But in XP Home, when I do the same thing, the most recent files are listed
first, and the sub-folders are listed at the very bottom. I find this
counter-intuitive and very annoying. Is there a way to change this so that
the files can be listed in descending order by date and still have the
sub-folders listed at the top of the list?

Thanks

Hi,

Click the date column header again. It should switch between the folders at
the bottom and the top.

Thanks for the reply. The problem is that if I click the date
column header again, the folders appear at the top, but the
files are the listed in *ascending* order instead of descending.
Win 98 is just the opposite! Is there a way to change this?

Thanks
