When I have certain websites open I keep getting an annoying beep every 10
seconds or so. I have deduced that this occurs on websites that update
regularly.
Any idea how to stop it beeping?

Do you have PestPatrol? It might be when it is blocking popups.

It's not Pestpatrol as I no longer have that installed. However I think I
have found the offending software by watching task manager. The program is
cookiepatrol.exe and after closing it down it stops the beeping. However, I
cannot find what program this is part of so it'll keep reappearing each time
I restart...unless you have any suggestions?

Thanks for the advice by the way.

Maybe you can run msconfig and disable it there.
