Annoying Auto Message

I was on Windows Live Messenger, when a message came through from one of my
contacts
It said-

Omg! Is that you?
http://photobase007.ph.funpic.org/photos.php?photo=photo2342.jpg

Then I clicked on the link and it came up with the download thing saying
run/save and i clicked run.

Now, when I try and talk to my friends, the stupid automatic message pops up
onto everyone one of my contacts.

I dont know what to do, and Im wondering wether its a virus.
Please help

I am unable to open the link.

However, from your description I believe it is a virus.

Hopefully some one can post a solution on how to get rid of the virus.
