VirtualAD v 2.

Summar

Virtual AD is a health & design checking, planning, reporting, simulation and troubleshooting tool for Active Directory infrastructures

VirtualAD gets all relevant design information from your active directory and allows you to perform design checks and simulations on the current situation but also on planned situation ( e.g. adding a new site )

VirtualAD never changes your Active Directory, it uses its own database for all checks and simulations

VirtualAD creates over 15 reports on the Health and configuration of your A

Virtual AD provides the user with the ability to

Visualize the active directory setup
Perform multiple of design checks on the infrastructure including:
Inter-site link anomalies
Replication times between sites
IP subnet definitions and overlaps
Identification of redundant links
and much more .....
Do advance planning for AD expansion to determine where new sites and links could be placed, and the implications on replication durations.
Simulate problems and disasters by visualizing the impact on your AD replications of a telecom link, entire site disaster or single server Failure.
Provide health and configuration reports on your active directory
Troubleshoot a host of operational issues by:
Providing the average loading of the AD tasks of servers
Identifying IP subnets that have not yet been defined in your AD, but are in use by clients.
Identifying where the AD replication is not following your link configurations.
By providing flexibility in the way this functionality is used, you can do many more complex simulations or design checks, by adding/removing sites and links for the intermediate database (NB: not directly from AD: see also section on Impact on Active Directory). This means that you can do extensive 'what if' scenario planning to help define your IT Disaster Recover Plans

No Impact on Active Director

VirtualAD has no impact on your Active Directory. Due to the fact that all planning and simulation work is done on an intermediate database structure, your Active Directory is only ever opened in a read-only mode. The user account under which you run VirtualAD will require rights to traverse and read your AD [normally the standard user rights], but will not require any change rights

Fully scalable to your enterpris

VirtualAD has been design for companies with multiple AD sites. You can configure the backdrop of VirtualAD to cover the entire globe, a country, your city, or even a campus. As you define the detail of the backdrop, you choose what it looks like. VirtualAD comes with a global backdrop as a default, but you can change to any JPEG format image to suite your needs
