Animating Text Boxes In Powerpoint

I would like to move some text from one part of a slide to another and watch if fly (rather than jump) between the two positions

Any ideas?
 
Which version of PPT? This is easy to do in PPT 2002/2003, which both offer
motion path animations. It's difficult to do in previous versions, but it
wouldn't be impossible--you'd have to use a series of slides so that the
animation works rather like a flip-book. Or an animated GIF might be a
better solution.
