Animated gif file does not run.

Whenever i open my website with IE6 the animated gif file on the page
displays as a bitmap and therefore it does not animate. Whenever I do this
same thing on my laptop, everything works fine.. Is there a setting which
causes IE6 to display gif files as bitmaps, or what can I do to correct this
problem?

Ron,
Open IE and go to Tools/Internet Options and hit the DELETE button and a
new little window will pop up and put a check in Delete Offline Content,
click OK and then give it time to delete..
You might also want to dump your cookies while there.. Also, click on the
SETTINGS button on the same window and check the size in MB's that your
Temporary Internet Files is... For heavy surfing I would go about 50, for
light to moderate surfing I use 24 with no problems.. You can highlight the
number that is there and type in the new number.. Click OK then APPLY and
OK and you should be back in business..

Check the setting "Play animations in web pages" in IE under Tools>Internet
Options...>Advanced>Multimedia

If it's not selected you won't get animated GIF's playing.
