Animate graph series

I have a line graph with three series (investment amounts over time). I want
to introduce each line separately, so I did a custom animation of the graph,
with an entrance of Appear. This works quite nicely.

Ideally, I would like to have each line appear like it was being drawn from
left to right (so people can see the amounts growing as the years progress).
I see lots of Entrance options, but I didn't see any which would make it
look like drawing the line.

Can this be done?

A wipe usually looks like what you want. Then change the default "from
bottom" option at the top of the animation pane to a "from left."

Double-click or right-click the animation in the pane to open the animation
effect options dialog. On the Chart Animations tab, you can choose to
animate just the lines. Or you can remove animations from the chart pieces
by clicking the downward-pointing double-chevron that appears in the
animation pane after you animate the chart. This expands the chart's
animation so you can see the individual animations.
