" and @ symbol problems

Hi, anybody help me?

I've just been given a nice new IBM laptop at work. I have a problem in that
whenever I type a ", a @ appears. Similarly, whenever I type a @, a "
appears.
I know that it is something to do with the language settings, but I can't
find out how to change it .
I prefer to use an English ( U.K ) setting.

Hi Phil

Control Panel>Regional and Language Options. Make sure that all settings
are for English (United Kingdom)
