An error that said the application has requested the runtime

Here is what happens when I try to open a folder in my
documents: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Program C:\Windows\explorer.exe
This application has requested the Runtime
to terminate it in an unusal way.
Please contact the applications support team
for more information.
I have no idea what to do. It does it every time I open
the folder.

Have you downloaded and installed all of the Critical updates for WinXP
at the WinUpdate site?

Yes I have downloaded all the updates windows has for
windows xp.
