An error occurred while attempting to display the Windows Live ID Sign-In dialog.

I often get this error in Windows Mail when using the Microsoft Community NewsGroups.

"An error occurred while attempting to display the Windows Live ID Sign-In dialog."

This is on 64bit Vista Business.

Is this a Windows Mail or LiveID error??

It's a Live ID/Community Newsgroups login error. To get rid of that
error message for good: go to Tools, Options, on the General tab
uncheck "Use newsgroup message rating features."

How do you get the dialog to quit popping up over and over again (infinite
loop)? I'm curious how much testing MS did on this product when a simple
sign-in error will go into an infinite loop of dialog boxes. Shoddy stuff, IMO

Gary, really feeling stupid here! can't find the screen shot. i was in the
same loop as the first person. i tried to get out, but no luck so far. i
think it is the sign in to this site. i'm new here, normally use the
microsoft.public.etc places, but not much help there these days. this looks
like a much better place with good folks who know their stuff.
