During (Windows-XP) start-up, I receive an error message that states:
"Controller not found - No SiI controller found in the system".

Please help me understand, what does this means and what should I do to
correct it?

Thank you for your time and help,
John

A quick Google tells us that you have a Silicone Image SATA/RAID
Controller on your motherboard. If you aren't using SATA and/or RAID,
just disable this in the BIOS.

If you are trying to install Windows on a SATA drive, you'll need to get
the Controller drivers from the motherboard mftr.
