An annoying problem

I use a proxy service to connect to the internet. Whenever I start IE 6.0 a
pop up appears with two fields that have to be filled in in order to be
allowed access to the proxy server ... the top field is for my username and
the bottom field is for my password to my proxy server account.

My problem is this ... immediately to the right of the username field is a
button with a down pointing arrow. When I push this button two of my e-mail
addresses that I must have stored somewhere-somehow, appear. Does anyone
know why this happens and where do I have to go to delete those e-mail
addresses from appearing?

I know this may sound ridiculous, but it's a real nuisance and I'd like to
solve this little puzzle.

Jerry,

* in Outlook, click Tools > Accounts > Mail tab
* click on to highlight the e-mail account you want to lose
* select remove

Hi Drew,
That's not the solution because the two e-mail addresses that show up
aren't in my Outlook Express program. One is a Spamex account
(throwaway email address) and the other is from an old hotmail
account. I must have stored them somewhere and this pop up window has
grabbed onto them somehow.

I'm not even sure if I'm describing this in a way that you can
understand.

Thanks for trying tho :)

Hi Drew ... thanks for the feedback. That didn't solve the problem
because the e-mail addresses that show up are not in my Outlook
Express program.

One is an old hotmail account that I haven't used in over a year now
and the other is a throwaway address that is still active.

Somehow I've stored these somewhere that has allowed this log-on popup
window to grab onto them.

Hi Jerry - Can't speak to your particular proxy issue, but it is often the
case that you can just highlight the address in the dropdown and hit Delete
to get rid of it. That might be worth a try.
