Amount of user connecting through lan

Powerdog

XP has a limit of 10 computers connecting to it at one time [throug
lan]...On NT, you could go to the registry under "lanserver
"User"...and increase it, but I can't find it anywhere on X
Pro...spent some time MS... to get the same three answers... as fa
as autodisconnect...but that is it... was wondering if anyone her
has seen or solved the problem
any help is greatly appreciate

There's no problem and no solution to it, AFAIK - if you want more than 10
/concurrent/ connections, then you must use some sort of server software.
That's all there is to it.

XP *Professional* has a limit of ten simultaneous connections. XP
Home permits only five.

There is no solution. These limits are built in the operating
system and can't be increased.

I thought it was hard coaded into windows (probably the lan manger
modual) so i dont think you can change it with out recompiling the
windows source code that micro$oft propably will never sell/give to
any one.
