American Classic Font

Word in Office 2000 had American Classic font that is not
in XP Home Edition. I started a project using this font
and wish to continue using it as the project is a long
term project and I don't want to lose the formatting by
changing fonts. Is there any means of downloading it and
adding it to XP on my new computer?

The most reliable way would be to copy the ttf file from your old
computer or from the source that you used to get it on your old
computer. Or try here: http://desktoppub.about.com/cs/findafont/
