No, actually it's the opposite way. People have told me not to post
those shortened links, as they were too scared to click on them.

I'm one who will not click on tiny urls...

Well if one of you regs here post a tiny I wouldn't think twice about
opening it hehehe, the last time anything got my system and did any harm
was back in 1991, well actually the PC came with the "AZUSA" virus on
the HDD, it was my first x86 PC and I had no idea what the hell was
going on! I sent the system back to the vendor and they replaced the
mobo, it still had the same HDD in it with virus and all!

Brother:, Did you run a virus scan, just because it's new doesn't
mean....

Me: huh? what's that? :)

20 minutes later... DOS window
McAffee Associates
Removing AZUSA virus from boot sector completed, please reboot!
:)

I won't when I'm on a 'Blows system. I *might* on Linux. I hafta know
the perp and have a little more than a hint why I might think it's
interesting though.

You sound like my brother. I remember around that timeframe I handed
down my old 486 system to him, with freshly reformatted, with newly
installed DOS & Windows, and within 30 minutes, he hands it back to me
with the Monkey-A bootsector virus. He had put an infected floppy in
from school in. I remember I had a hell of a time removing that as it
required special removers. And my problem was compounded by the fact
that my old 486 BIOS didn't support greater than 512MB drives, so I had
installed a plugin BIOS card what gave it LBA capabilities. But this had
somehow messed up the partition table when trying to clean it when
booted up from a floppy. It was a nightmare of troubleshooting.
