AMD Athlon 64 4000+ Build

Hi there!

For everyone thinking of building a new system may be interested in
hardware combinations which actually work without (compatibility) problems.

i just build the following system and had literally NO problem. No Issues.

The Specs:
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 4000+
CPU COOLER: Arctic-Cooling Silencer 64 Ultra TC
THERMAL PASTE: Arctic Silver 5
MAINBOARD: DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D
MEMORY: GeIL DIMM 1 GB DDR-400 Kit
GRAPHICS: EVGA GeForce 7800 GT CO
SOUNDCARD: (Old) Soundblaster Live! Value
HD: 2* Western Digital Caviar SE WD800JD
DVDROM: Teac DV-516-G
FLOPPY: NEC
CASE: Thermaltake Swing
CASEFAN: Papst 4412/F2GLL
PSU: Enermax Liberty 500 Watts


Temperatures on Load:
CPU: 38°C
GPU: 52°C
SYSTEM: 41°C
AMBIENT: 24°C

Performance:
3dMark05 Score: 7682

No Crashes, LockUps or Bluescreens. Runs on Windows XP Home.

Well that may all be good, but how about the the color coordination of the
start button to the rest of the case? Does it lend itself to the aesthetics?

Watch that sound card. Mine started causing my latest build to come
up not knowing it had any ram several mornings. Once I pulled it
things began to work properly.
