am getting error when sending emails, SMTP authentication errror .

Using MS Outlook and when trying to send an email I get the error ''SMTP
authentication error'' am using O/S Windows ME.

Any thoughts?
 
Do you get an even more specific error message? Also what version and
servicepack level of Outlook are you using?

When going to your account settings press More Options... and op the
Outgoing Server tab configure it to use authentication and enter the
username and password for that account.
