Are you being prompted for a username as well as a password?
It sounds like you are using a workgroup file where someone has put a
password on the default user (Admin). Run the workgroup admin program
(wrkgadm.exe) and rejoin the default workgroup file (system.mdw). You may
have to use the Windows Explorer search function to find these two files,
because different versions of Access store them in different places. They
will be either in your Windows system folder (Access 97) or in the Program
Files folder tree.
If you are already using the default file, and you don't know what the Admin
password is, then you will need to get a clean copy of System.mdw from your
installation CD.
