Just out of curiosity, what is wrong with FxCorp?

well... it's a bit of a long story, but basically we're not really thrilled
with the licensing agreement of FxCop, since there are some provisions in
the agreement that which are a little sketchy, so I was tasked with finding
an alternative (if one existed)...

On a related topic, is FxCop currently distributed with Visual Studio 2005,
or is it only available as a separate download on GotDotNet.com? We have not
moved to VS2005 yet, so I was just curious about that.

it is integrated into 2005 now, but is called "Code Analysis".

Yes. But you can always download the stand-alone version for other VS
editions, so it's not a very great loss.
