Alternative to WinTidy - desktop icon positions remembered

I am using WinTidy to arrange my icons on my desktop - especially when
screen res changes. But the annoying thing is: a dialog message box pops
up to say:

The restored 1024x768 layout does not include positioning information
for the following icon or icons:
Install
Printer Test
Deleted stuff
Network
We recommend that you place these icons where you wish and then re-save
the layout.
OK

Is there a better desktop icon "remember-er" app that I can use that
just simply remembers my icon placements and restores them automatically
(or manaully).
Thanks

Save Desktop Icon Placement

Ever use Safe Mode? Ever use Safe Mode with a lot of desktop icons?
Bummer, huh? But there's a fix. Simply download Layout.zip and unzip it
into a temporary directory. Put layout.dll in \Windows\System (Windows
9x) or \Windows\System32 (NT4, Win2K) and merge layout.reg by
right-clicking the file and choosing Merge from the context menu.

What you'll get is two new entries on the context menu for desktop
system icons like My Computer and My Documents. These entries are
Save Desktop Icon Layout and Restore Desktop Icon Layout. So just
right-click My Computer, save your layout, and whenever you need to,
restore it just as easily. Don't forget to save them right away and
whenever you make a change. Thanx Bob for the tip.
