Alternative to Real?

I have heard unkind things said about the newest incarnation of Real
Player, is there an alternative? All I want to do is to listen to
radio and watch the BBC news via the Web.

Any suggestions? Or is Real OK?

Hmmm... I say Opera is a nice program, but doesn't always work with
RealPlayer Alternative.
