I keep telling Daryl to lock the front door when he goes out. Those damn
neighborhood kids keep posting when he goes out. I've told him more than
once...

Wow. Darryl, you can't say stuff like that in usenet or anywhere else.
Seriously, you've just broken the law. Calm down and take a deep
breath. None of this stuff is worth going to jail about.

I hope somebody's spoofing dszady. Would hate to think that death
threat was real.

No he's not being spoofed that's him. He's a head case.. Haven't you
noticed that sometimes he tries to be the helpful type, then other
times he attacks others for no reason. He appears to suffer from
schizophrenia, amongst other maladies.

The odd thing Mr. Poko is you seem like a decent sort. Yet you call
Daryl the nutjob your friend? You seem to turn a blind eye to the fact
that he sometimes attacks other posters for no reason. Other than to
satisfy his fragile little insecure ego. Still if someone has to be
his friend on Usenet, better you than me! Good Luck...

The posting appears to originate in the USA. Are death threats normal
there, wouldn't the police authorities/FBI be quite interested? The ISP
certainly should be.

Cheers,

They still haven't responded. I emailed them for a free registration
code and got it, but I don't want to install Columbus because I'm
currently using the old version of Quickview on my ME system and the two
might conflict.

Well, Columbus never answered me. Guess I'll unflag this thread. Sorry
I can't clarify this.

No, that would be too much work. Law enforcement people are government
employees. The pay is the same whether they chase law breakers or not.
The ISP certainly should be.

John,

I *hate* to admit this, but there is actually a lot that you post that
I agree with. I would guess that there is probably more that you post
that I agree with than that I disagree with.

However when I see something that you post that I agree with I usually
don't comment because I don't want it to go to your head :)

That said, how about posting something that I can disagree with so we
can get back to normal :)

Well, I don't want you to take my joke as meaning that I usually
disagree with everything you say because that's certainly not the case.

On another note, I see that dzady isn't present here today. Wonder if
the boy's in the slammer (or some other kind of institution.)

Could be. I hope he's feeling better by now.

Hope you're off the path and make it through okay, Vic.

There is no limit on the number of files that can be viewed with
Columbus. The statement that it disables itself after 200 files is
inaccurate. The major limitation is, as mentioned that the new free
version does not view documents on network drives.

Thank you for clarifying that, Juan.
