alternating row color in access tables

I'm using Access 2003

I've seen other posts and I don't understand codes or widgets posted (I'm so
new to this) I've looked at office help but can't figure out how to get to
Group Level Properties.
 
Hi,
you should not try to apply formatting within tables.
Since you or your users shouldn't see/add/edit data in tables, but rather in
forms or reports you should do the formatting there.
Then pay attention to conditional formatting as it might be helpful or you
can just change the property of the controls holding the data if you always
want it to be formatted that way.
